Sateen Vs. satin
Satin and sateen bed sheets share similar weaves and look. They’re both incredibly soft, but sateen fabric is better for improving sleep quality. Satin is made from synthetic fibers, making it more affordable. However, bamboo is better because it’s temperature-regulating, breathable and incredibly sustainable. Bamboo sateen sheets are also much easier to care for, as some satin sheets require dry cleaning. Sateen sheets are more durable and soft, with a beautiful sheen that makes any bed look hotel-worthy.
Will sateen sheets keep you cool?
Our sateen sheets are made from bamboo, which is naturally cooling and temperature-regulating. That means bamboo sheets will keep you cooler throughout the night and improve your quality of sleep. Bamboo also absorbs more water and sweat than cotton, making it an ideal choice for hot sleepers.
Sateen Vs. cotton
High-quality bamboo sheets are often compared to Egyptian cotton because they’re both soft and breathable. However, cotton can be harsh on the skin (and the planet). Whereas bamboo is soft and hypoallergenic, making it ideal for those with allergies or delicate skin. Sateen is also made from a different weave than standard cotton sheets. 400 thread-count bamboo sheets are just as soft and luxurious-feeling as 1000 thread-count cotton.
While cotton and bamboo both wick moisture away from the body, our sateen bed sheets are more breathable and durable. While pilling can be expected from both materials, bamboo sateen sheets get softer and lusher with each wash.
